Firm founder James D. Veldhuis received a B.A. in Industrial Marketing from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and a J.D. from Detroit College of Law in Detroit, Michigan. He is licensed to practice law in all state courts in Michigan, as well as the following federal courts: United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan; United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan.
